Eager to immerse himself in family law casework, Benjamin Power began as an articling student with the Gene C. Colman Family Law Centre just one week after graduating from the J.D. program at Queen’s University’s Faculty of Law in April 2026.
While there, Benjamin participated with the Queen’s Elder Law Clinic, providing free legal services and information to seniors in Kingston Ontario and the surrounding townships. As he conducted client meetings, seminars and drafted documents, each with a detail-oriented approach, Benjamin developed a keen interest in client-focused work. He remains committed to providing peace of mind for those navigating uncertainty.
Prior to law school, Benjamin graduated with distinction from Western University, completing an Honours Specialization in English Language and Literature in 2022. He was awarded the William Ware Tamblyn Scholarship, as well as the William Ferguson Tamblyn Scholarship for showing the highest degree of academic excellence in English.
In his spare time, Benjamin enjoys the short fiction of writers such as George Saunders and Simon Rich, playing golf and staying active.
