Feb. 21, 2019-Should Canada Adopt an Equal Parenting Presumption?

Thoughts of the Day are important. Even more important is to seize the opportunity to take action. Come show your support for ESP tonight at an historic event. Be part of the movement for positive change to Canada’s family law system.

Should Canada Adopt an Equal Parenting Presumption?
by University of Toronto Men’s Issues Awareness Society

The Government of Canada is about to send Bill C78, An Act to Amend the Divorce Act, off to the Senate without any major amendments. We are in danger of missing a once in a generation opportunity to modernize our family law system by finally enshrining the principle of equal parenting. Equal parenting provides the best outcomes for children and has been adopted by several progressive countries and US states.

Join us for a timely public event on Equal Parenting and Bill C78, featuring:

  • Member of Parliament and federal Justice Critic, Michael Cooper
  • Founder of Lawyers for Shared Parenting, Brian Ludmer
  • Alienated dad turned activist, Mike Glover.
